Simple but quality food by day and something rather more elaborate at night. When the sun’s shining, sit outside on the beach and enjoy the views. When the weather is rough, enjoy a lovely hot drink and meal as you watch the waves crash onto the shingle outside.

Saturday night Bistro experience

Took my mother and father out for dinner here. 3 courses, lovely ambience in the evening (quite different from the daytime, which can be pretty hectic) and great food at a very reasonable price. Stand out for me was the gorgonzola and sundried tomato risotto, an unusual but fab menu choice. Fish choices were very well received, and eton mess for dessert too. Recommended.

Where better to eat fabulous seafood than on the beach

I had the most delicious scallop, and my husband had fantastic mussels sitting on the beach in the sun outside this great cafe … what a perfect way to spend a spring lunchtime. The food was delicious, and was served with a smile. My only concern about writing this review is that it will get over busy! We will definitely go again next time we are in the area

Oh my god, Amazing

You truly will not be disappointed. Went last night had Mussels & chorizo, chicken with crayfish sauce & tarragon mash & Kahlúa & chocolate brûlée with homemade shortbread – nothing short of a masterpiece, amazing tastes & combinations. Had the Sauvignon Blanc to wash it down. Again, sublime as was the Dorset-based gin I had as an aperitif. The service and staff are amazing too. Great atmosphere. Thank you for a lovely evening.
